Creating Kindness Blog Hop - 3D Gift Giving

Hello...and welcome!  I'm super excited that you're here...and super duper excited (and incredibly honored) that I get to be the guest designer with this month's Creating Kindness (around the world) Design Team Blog Hop!  The Creating Kindness Design Team is an incredible group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world working (and hopping) together to inspire us to kindness through card making and paper crafting.  Yep....it's all pretty amazing...but that's not all!  There's a video hop, too!  Check out the link list at the end of the post to check out to all the video fun!

And now...on to the projects!  So...this month's hop theme is all about the gift giving and 3-D projects.  Um...yeah. Perfect for me...because if you've been here before you know that gift packaging is my jam!  I could literally sit in my studio all day every day and create packaging.  With matching cards. Like these.

The A Little Wild Bundle was on my first list for the new, 2017-2018 Catalog.  Love it.  And though I don't have a lot of "littles" to create for...I'm ALWAYS inspired to create something to have on hand.  You know...just in case.  So I pulled out the A Little Wild stamp set and Little Loves Framelits Dies for this gift box and card.  I adore the wild about you sentiment in the set...because it leaves it all open for a new baby or for a baby's first birthday.  Or...just because you found something cute for that little him or her that you want to spoil a bit.  Seriously...gift packaging can never be too much...

and I'm not sure there can ever be too many layers!  Here I've used DSP, ribbon, linen thread, sequins and an OH SO ADORABLE Mini Gift Bow.  I also added a couple of die cut vines in Lemon Lime Twist...and I wrapped them around a thin pencil to get them to looks more like an actual vine.  And yes...I see many more of those vines in my future!

I also frayed the ends of the Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to add to the little wild look.  Ha!

I used many of the same elements for the matching card... changing a few elements that made design sense.  Together, though, they came together just the way I hoped they would!

Thank you so much for stopping here and for hopping with the Creating Kindness (around the world) Design Team today!  Maria Willis is up next...and I know you'll want to hop over to see what she has to inspire you!  It's sure to be fabulous!

  5. What a gorgeous car and box. I especially love that you used the cardstock and matching ribbon on the belly band because the card stock ties up the card design and box perfectly. Thank you very much for hopping with us this month.

  8. Wow Sue! Everything about this combo of projects is absolutely stunning! I love how you have mixed so many textures and patterns here! AND you twirled the cardstock punched from the new Decorative Ribbon Border Punch! I love, love, love that idea! Super clever! Thanks so much for sharing! I think I am now going to go and enjoy my root beer float that is waiting for me! Cheers! 💖
